Course Description

Expected Duration: Approximately 16 hours

This course presents Kantata users with in-depth training on the Kantata Insights Business Intelligence Solution, including both classic and dynamic dashboards. Through a blended learning approach that combines demonstrations, activities, and hands-on student lab exercises, the student will be provided with the information introducing basic functionality and navigation of Kantata Insights, be exposed to the business value of dashboards and reports, and instruction into developing the skills and knowledge necessary to fully utilize the rich feature set of Kantata Insights. Students will learn how to create metrics, and then build and modify custom classic and dynamic Dashboards dashboards and reports using Multi-Dimensional Analytical QueryLanguage(MAQL).


Course Objectives

After completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the Insights Business Intelligence Solution (Insights)
  • List the features and benefits of Insights
  • Identify the suite of Insights standard dashboards and reports
  • Describe the intended value provided by each of these dashboards and reports
  • Navigate to the desired dashboard and report
  • Utilize dashboard filters to reflect desired data
  • Create and modify Insights dashboard and reports
  • Create custom metrics for use in Insights reporting


Who Should Take This Course

The target audience for this course should meet the following criteria and prerequisites:

  • Familiarity and experience using the Kantata product
  • A basic understanding of data analytics

The following prerequisites apply.  It is recommended that the student have:

  • Prior experience or familiarity with the Kantata OX solution is required
  • Kantata members that have access to Insights
