Course Description

Expected Duration: Approximately 2 hours

People are a service organization’s most valuable asset.  They are also typically the most constrained and most frequently misapplied asset. Simply put, people represent supply, and the work for which they are needed determines the demand for those limited resources. Maximizing the use of limited resources and minimizing the impact of demand is vitally important to companies in the services industry.

This course will provide an introduction to the topic or resource management in the services industry. Topics examined and discussed will include: resource management concepts and fundamentals, the association of resource management to capacity planning, responsibilities and tasks associated with resource management, the role of resource management in helping services companies reach their goals, and best practices of resource management for achieving superior results.
