Course Description
Expected Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Kantata users will be presented with an in-depth training on Kantata Salesforce Integration and configuration for project-related data with the Kantata solution.
This course is designed to provide direction to end users with administrator permissions to properly configure and enable the Kantata Salesforce integration to seamlessly connect Kantata to Salesforce. This course is designed so that the core audience can take full advantage of Kantata while leveraging Salesforce as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Course Objectives
After completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the features, functionality, and configuration options of the Kantata Salesforce integration.
- Properly configure and complete all necessary operations through the user interface to accomplish the desired integration activities.
- Cite the various scenarios and available objects.
- Identify the source of issues and errors when troubleshooting errors by exercising and using the tools, methods, and best practices for resolution.
- Identify and access the Help assets and other related resources.
Who Should Take This Course
This course is recommended for Kantata Account Administrators who have:
- Familiarity navigating all Kantata Administrator functions
- Familiarity setting up authentication tokens
- Familiarity with setting and configuring Projects
- Familiarity with Custom Fields
- Familiarity with configuring and managing, time, expense, invoices
- If your company uses Estimates in Kantata, familiarity with the Estimates feature is recommended
As well as Salesforce Administrators who have:
- Familiarity with configuration options
- Understand Opportunities
- Be able to browse both standard and custom Salesforce objects
- Be able to create fields
- Be able monitor Scheduled and Apex jobs
- Familiarity with the Developer Console
- Familiarity with Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL)
- Familiarity with Apex code
Student Prerequisites
The following prerequisites apply. It is recommended that the student have:
- Experience as a Kantata Administrator and familiarity with Administrative settings within Kantata.
- Experience as a Salesforce Administrator and familiarity with Salesforce configuration settings, and general accounting practices.
- It is important for the administrators of both accounts to be fully engaged in implementing the integration as these resources will be best suited to understand the downstream impacts of any configurations made.
